Although situated in the North of Scotland we are in actual fact easy to travel to as Inverness has good bus, rail and flight links and, as a travel hub for the Highlands and Islands, has excellent onward connections to Nairn our local town

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS to ...

Delniesmuir, Nairn, Inverness-shire, IV12 5NT, UK

By Car:   Situated a few miles outside Nairn towards Inverness the entrance to Delniesmuir can be easily missed - the photograph is of the driveway entrance. There is ample car parking on site.
It would be helpful if you could let us know if you would be willing to pick up/drop off other course participants.

By Bus:   There are good connections to Nairn from Inverness and a direct bus from Aberdeen. For detailed timetables contact Stagecoach

Onward travel from Nairn to Delniesmuir it is advisable to book a Taxi as there is no continuous footpath from Nairn to Delniesmuir. 

By Train:   Trains leave from Inverness to Nairn and through tickets can be purchased from your original departure station. Alternatively as the bus and train station are close to each other transferring between either method of travel is easy and can be considered depending on your own itinerary.
If you are intending to arriving at Nairn train station it is advisable to have booked a Taxi for your onward journey to Delniesmuir.

By Aeroplane:   Flying in to Inverness Airport presents a couple of options, there is a well serviced Taxi rank from in front of the airport as well as regular bus services to Nairn and to Inverness. Once again for detailed timetables contact Stagecoach

STAYING AT DELNIESMUIR

There are a limited number of rooms available on a B & B basis for Course participants. All the rooms have double or king size beds but are not ensuite. Towels are provided and guests are asked to strip their beds before they leave. Breakfast is in the kitchen on a self-sevice basis, a vegetarian lunch is provided on the courses but not evening meals. Guests are welcome to eat any lunch leftovers, get together for a trip into Nairn or bring their own food.

Please note that whilst every effort is made to cater for a range of dietary requirements (details on request) if there is anything specific you need please bring that with you.
